I also recommend MS-DOS Kermit if you require a more feature rich terminal emulator (Kermit now supports TCP/IP connections).
I recommend you use HTGET for command-line HTTP retrieval. Note that you can browse downloaded files with HV . For on-line web browsing, WWW/LX is considered to be the leading palmtop web browser at the moment.
